Chilly Weather, More Rain

Mile 317.4-340.2 (22.8 miles)

The wind howled all night but somehow we both got the best sleep we've had possibly this entire trail. It was cold this morning and took me quite awhile to warm up enough to take off my base layers and Melly. It rained off and on a million times as usual. The miles ticked by quickly though. Finished my book Inanna and started a new one called the Lost Apothecary. When we reached the top of our climb back up into the mountains it was the coldest I'd been during the day.

I wore my Melly, rain pants, rain jacket and gloves. The descent down the pass here to our campsite was quick. We have a huge campsite to ourselves. Feeling worried with no news from Henry's mom with his dad being in the hospital. My Zoleo satellite messages say they have been received but haven't got an answer back in a couple days. Hoping everything is ok. Waking up early tomorrow to get to the road by 4:30 for the hiker feed which has been my sole purpose of living for the last 3 days.
