Mile 409.7- 422.8 (13.1 miles)
We slept in this morning, unwilling to leave the comfort of our king bed. My sleep score was 87 which is the best it's been in weeks, my average has been in the 40s or 50s. I lounged in bed until 9 while Henry brought me hot coffee in bed. When he walked down to the post office to pick up our package I took a nice hot shower to scrub away the sleepiness. When he returned he surprised me with biscuits and gravy he picked up from a restaurant in town. I devoured it all in bed with another coffee and a hot chocolate. Check out was at noon but the owners said we could stay until 1 so we lazed around in bed cuddling. At 1 we went downstairs and chatted with Pick and Chonga who'd just got in and then walked to resupply. We split a Hunt Brothers Pizza between the two of us while we caught up with Mice and his friends at the gas station and then walked to the edge of town to hitch out.

A sweet old lady in a pickup truck picked us up in less than 5 minutes and we climbed in the bed. Back on trail I sent an update to my besties that tomorrow we would attempt to finish the trail in one go which will be around sixty miles depending on how far we make it today. It had been our goal all along to finish with a big day just so I could see if I could do it but not gonna lie, the number 60 is daunting. I know I can do it though, I know I can dig deep enough.

I downloaded Assassin's Blade while in town and started it a couple hours into the day. The terrain was easy and we decided to night hike a few miles to put ourselves in a better position for tomorrow. We spotted a huge salamander by a water source and shortly after found a nice stealth spot in some springy grass just off the trail. Planning an early start for tomorrow. 60.2 miles to Durango. I hope I can do it. I know I can do it. I'm ready for the challenge and even more ready to finish.
